Destro
is a fictional villain from G.I. Joe, a military-themed line of toys from Hasbro. He first appeared in the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero line. He is portrayed by Christopher Eccleston in the motion picture set for release in 2009.
Born in Callander, Scotland, Destro's full name is James McCullen Destro XXIV, and is Laird of Castle Destro in the Scottish Highlands. The Destro clan has designed and sold weapons for centuries, and Destro is the head of their current incarnation: M.A.R.S. (Military Armament Research Syndicate).
He wears a mask forged from Beryllium Steel, a tradition dating back to the English Civil War, when an ancestor of his was caught selling weapons to both sides. Forced to wear a steel mask for his crimes (neither side wanted to execute the ancestor because they still wanted the weapons he sold), the Destro clan has since turned it into a symbol of pride, passing it down from father to son for over 20 generations. In the episode "Skeletons in the Closet" it was also revealed that Destro is distantly related to Lady Jaye.
Destro's key characteristics are his sense of honor, a calm demeanor, and love for Cobra's second-in-command, the Baroness. As a businessman, Destro is cutthroat and unyielding. He uses his own troops, the Iron Grenadiers, and hires mercenaries to stir up conflict in dangerous regions, then sells weapons to those armies. Continuing a tradition started by the first masked Destro, he will even sell to both sides of the same war.
This Destro Mighty Mugg stands at 6 inches tall. Move over Snake Eyes, as someone will surely take over the fastest selling Mighty Mugg of all GI Joes. This Destro Mighty Mugg will sell out very fast -- VERY FAST!! Probably the most popular character of the series, so if you can buy lots of them, then you might just have a profitable business on eBay. This is expected to be released as part of the Wave 2 collection sometime in 2009 -- but I have a feeling they will be released as part of the Wave 1 collection, as to cash in on the busy Christmas rush. I don't know why, but that is my gut feeling.

GI Joe Mighty Muggs derive from the G.I. Joe Comic Book series and toy line brought to you by Hasbro. GI Joe collectible action figures are a bit of American past time, as they have been collectible toys since the 1960's. As a matter of fact, they are for boys as what Barbie Dolls are to girls.
In 1963, noting the commercial success of the Barbie doll for girls, Stan Weston, a toy creator and licensing agent, came up with the idea of a Barbie-like line with a military theme that would be marketed to boys. He presented his idea to Don Levine, the creative director of Hasbro, who saw the potential of the idea and approved. The prototypes were originally named "Rocky" (the marine/soldier) "Skip" (the sailor) and "Ace" (the pilot), before Don Levine, inspired by the 1945 film The Story of G.I. Joe, decided on the generic name G.I. Joe
Duke is a fictional character from G.I. Joe, a line of military-themed toys. The character is featured in two series, G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero and G.I. Joe: Sigma 6, appearing in both the animated series and comic books.

Snake Eyes is a fictional character from G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, a line of military-themed toys created by Hasbro. The character is one of the original members of the fictional team and toy line. He is a major character of the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero G.I. Joe comic book series and appeared in the animated series. He has also appeared in G.I. Joe: Sigma 6, appearing in both the animated series and comic book.
Cobra Commander is a fictional character from the G.I. Joe franchise. He appears in the toyline , animated series (the 1985 and 1989 incarnations and the Sigma 6 animated series), comic books, video games, and movie as the usual principal antagonist. The character was created by Marvel Comics writer Larry Hama and was loosely based on the James Bond villain Ernst Stavro Blofeld.
Storm Shadow is a fictional character from the G.I. Joe comics series and television shows. The character is best known for his history with fellow ninja Snake Eyes. Throughout their history, the duo have been everything to one another from the bitterest of enemies, to the most loyal of friends (and blood brothers) who would fight and die for one another.
